Burj Khalifa is the World’s tallest man-made building. It has 163 floors and is 829.8 meters (2722 feet). The Burj Khalifa used 33,0000 cubic meters of concrete, 39,000 tonnes of steel reinforcement, 10,3000 square meters of glass, and 15,500 square meters of embossed stainless steel.

The bridge spans the Chenab River at a height of 359 meters (1178 feet) above the river, making it the World’s highest rail bridge and the World’s highest arch bridge. The arch bridge is completely made of steel. This required 28,660 MT of steel, 10 lakh earthwork, 66,000 cubic meters of concrete, and the construction of 26 km of motorable roads.

The material used in the construction of this bridge was 52,800 tones of steel with 39,000 in the arch, approximately 6 million hand-driven rivets, and 272,000 liters of paint. It carries 8 lanes of traffic, 2 train lines, a footpath, and a cycle path.

The Bahrain World Trade Center is a 50-floor, twin-tower complex. It is the first skyscraper in the world to integrate three wind turbines into its design. Its wind turbines in Skybridge generate 15% of its power. It is 240 meters high (787 feet). It utilized approximately 200,000 tonnes of structural steel. It includes 1640 square meters of stainless steel railing and 500 square meters of siding.


CN Tower

CN Tower of Toronto was the world’s tallest freestanding structure until 2007 after which Burj Khalifa surpassed it in height. Its foundation uses 7046 cubic meters of concrete, 500 tonnes of reinforcing steel, and 40 tons of tensioning cables.

Torre Helea is a residential building in Puebla City Mexico. It uses a unique cantilever structure to create a corkscrew design that gives its apartments a 360° panoramic view. The core of this building is steel-reinforced concrete. The columns and cross beams that hold the floors are made of high-strength steel.


Lakhta Center

Lakhta Center is the tallest building not only in Russia but in the whole of Europe. It is 462 meters tall having 90 floors of which 87 are elevated and 3 are underground. It has 15 columns, 18m steel beams, and a 104m fully steel spire which was installed using Europe’s largest crane. A Guinness World record was also made by pouring 19,643 cubic meters of concrete in 49 hours.
